  • The letter

    I did send the following letter to the customer-services two week ago and haven't got any response so far. two week and counting...

    To whom it may concern,

    Four months ago on June the 16th 2007 I made a serious mistake in renting a car from your company at Heathrow airport. From the beginning the car was in a very bad condition. It broke down twice in the middle of a busy junction and on the morning of June the 19th the car was towed away by the RAC. I had only had the car for two days but had paid for four weeks rental.
    After two days of calling your customer services endlessly I eventually got through and was informed that you couldn’t provide me with a replacement car! On June the 21st your chat representative Zeo promised me a full refund of the COMPLETE amount since you could not fulfill your contract.
    Since then I have been waiting to receive the refund.
    I have called your customer services over 15 times since then and I still haven’t received the refund as promised.

    You can check your recordings on the following days: 23/7, 14/8, 21/8 (talked with Mike), 30/8 (Mike again), 14/9 called 5 times, 21/9(talked with Peter Wilson), 2/10, 5/10, and so on.

  • Once more - Fax instead of Customer services

    Not surprising, Customer Services is just an extension in this company.

    I've a record of 12 days I've called the company. Most of the times more then once.

    Many times getting the answer that he will check it up and 'get back to me', or when I've asked for the manager the most common answer was 'he is busy, leave the phone number and he will get back to you'.

    Needless to say, THEY have never got back to me.

  • Introduction

    Making a very long story to a short one:
    I've rented a car from http://www.car-hire-uk.com/ on June 16th, 2007 for a period of 4 weeks. All paid in advance!

    The car from the begining was in bad condition. It halted twice in two days in the middle of a junction.
    On June 18th I called the company reporting the car condition. They told me that JUST next day someone will come to have a look at the car.

    On June 19th a RAC car towed the rented car, no new car was delivered.

    I had the car for two days having paid for four weeks. They promissed to refund the COMPLETE amount.

    Four month later I'm STILL trying to get a refund.

    This blog will keep you informed on my efforts getting my money back.
